8 Year-Old BOTOX Girl Taken From Mother 05/16/2011

Oh WHAT A MESS!

I’m sure you have heard about the 8 year old Britney Campbell, who’s Mother openly gives her young daughter shots of botox.  Now, the little girl has been taken away from her Mother.  Could this get any worse?  YIKES!  I do NOT agree with the Mother giving her daughter botox…..but can you imagine being this little girl and being taken away from her Mother?   At this point, my heart breaks for the little girl.  She must be so very scared!

Good Morning America” reports that Britney Campbell has been taken away from her mother, who recently went on air to defend giving Botox to her eight-year-old.

Lara Spencer said, “I’ve spoken with someone very close to the case, she is out of her mother’s home. She’s doing well. The case is under investigation by CPS and we should have new details within a week. But the main thing here — she’s doing well.”

We first told you about the Campbells in March and “GMA” covered their story last week. In a sit-down interview, Spencer asked Britney questions worthy of a horrifying “Law & Order: SVU” episode: can you show me where you do it? Can you point on your face? Of the Botox, Britney remarked, “It hurt sometimes, but I get used to it,” and of the waxing, “It was super, super hard to deal with that…I just don’t think it’s ladylike to have hair on your legs,” however adding that she won’t do it again. At least not for a while.

Just one day later, the San Francisco Child Welfare Services started looking into it and Trent Rohrer of the San Francisco Human Services Agency told cameras, “It’s pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with Botox. Certainly, it’s grounds for an investigation.” The agency apparently got involved because there were too many unknowns, like Kerry‘s training, where the Botox she used came from, and whether her daughter’s pediatrician was consulted.

If I added 2 cups to my bra size….well, the girls would have their own ZIP CODE! 04/19/2011

Victoria’s Secret Miraculous Bra: Does It Really Add Two Cup Sizes?

Step aside, Robin Roberts — we have a new girl crush on “Good Morning America” contributor Becky Worley who confessed that when she sits at home, watching Victoria’s Secret commercials, she thinks, “Really? Really?” OMGee, us too!

Worley decided to give the brand’s new Miraculous (push-up) Bra a whirl. The adverts claim that the piece of lingerie will bump you up two cup sizes. And indeed it did: Becky went from a 36A to 36C in no time flat. She even joked while exiting the fitting room, “They came out before me,” meaning her “girls.”

Becky, can we please hang out later?

What do you think?

MOM of 7: Down and OUT! 02/22/2011

Mom of 7:  DOWN and OUT!

Well, it’s been a long four days.  I checked out of the world late last week and succumbed to the flu that has been working its way through every member in our house.  It took a while but it caught up with me.  UGH! So MOM of 7 has been off the radar and nowhere near Facebook or http://www.momof7.com

Talk about feeling OUT OF TOUCH!!!!  Today, I’m back….a little.

So in honor of being sick and completely out of touch with the world I’m going to share the TOP 5 things I learned while being DOWN and OUT!  Here we go:

5.  No matter what day it is or what year it is, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan will ALWAYS be making news!

4.  No matter how “stocked” with groceries you believe you are, you NEVER have exactly what you need/crave when you are sick.

3.  DayQuil tastes SO MUCH worse than NIQUIL!  Why can’t they taste the same?

2.  When you’re sick, the highlight of your day is taking a shower.  It’s just a shame you don’t have any energy left once you turn off the water.  So back to bed you go.

AND THE NUMBER 1 THING I LEARNED WHILE BEING DOWN AND OUT…..drum roll please…..

1.  …that walking downstairs and seeing a dirty kitchen, while you are sick, only makes you sicker/angrier/more p.o’d.

(and no, this isn’t a picture of MY kitchen.  🙂  Mine wasn’t nearly this bad…but when you’re sick everything seems to be exaggerated!!!)
